The project aims to:

  • Involve students in becoming critically aware of environmental issues which exist within catchments locally, and throughout the Murray–Darling Basin.
  • Assist teachers to develop programs that enable students to communicate their understanding of environmental issues effectively.
  • Involve teachers, school and regional coordinators in a professional learning program linked to teaching outcomes and standards.
  • Foster school participation in community environmental education programs and local action.
  • Produce and publish a variety of students’ texts and artworks focusing on environmental issues, for a range of audiences.
