Murray-Darling Basin Authority
The Murray–Darling Basin Authority has the responsibility of assisting communities and governments in the Murray–Darling Basin to share their expertise and resources so as to best manage the region as a whole. The Murray–Darling Basin Authority's role is to work towards the protection and sustainable use of the Basin’s waterlands and other environmental resources. Only by working together can governments and individuals face the challenges of nature, such as drought and flood and resolve the Basin’s complex natural resource issues, such as dryland salinity.
