The Green Teacher Award celebrates teachers who have been a positive influence on students by initiating environmental projects within their school community. The aim is to encourage teachers to enliven sustainability education and inspire students to care for the environment. In selecting winner
All teachers nominated for the Green Teacher Award must participate in Schools Clean Up Day on Friday 5 March. So far, more than 800 schools across Australia have registered to participate in the nation’s biggest environment event!

Special forever will be back in 2010 with a change in its name, a new website, new projects and a focus on water. We will still be publishing a book of students writing and art at the end of the year but students will also have an opportunity to be published on the website at any time.
Writing and artwork submitted for Special forever has been included in the H2O = LIFE exhibition which opened in December 2009 at the National Museum of Australia. Museum staff selected the work of 32 individuals and 5 schools from the Special forever anthologies published 2005-2008.
