As usual the work submitted for inclusion in the 2009 Special Forever book was impressive. There are so many great projects, inspiring teachers and talented students.

Blighty Public School
In the Riverina region of New South Wales lies the small town of Blighty on the Riverina Highway. Blighty and the surrounding area has a population of around 340 people. Blighty Public School caters for approx 30 students and has participated in Special Forever since 2002. Read about the life in Blighty here.

Junee North Public School
Drought directly affects some of us more than others. At this time of year, it would come as a surprise to most that the NSW government have actually increased the size of the area which is now officially drought affected, bringing the total area in the state to 68 per cent. Students from Junee North Public School share their thoughts on drought with us
